Leslie West, one of founding fathers of Heavy Metal Guitar sits down to tell his story and offer a great instructional DVD. Leslie West was the founder of Mass distortion and tone and melody, a true pioneer and a living legend. Truly ahead of his time. Maybe you do not know who Leslie is by name, but you know his sound. A sound he broke out with in a band called Mountain and a song called Mississippi Queen.

Includes over two and a half hours of footage. Leslie discusses in great detail how he is able to find his tone, and it really is uncomplicated and quite simple, and pretty bad ass, to him its not all about volume, a common misconception about him. He utilizes guitars with a single set of pickups, 09 gauge strings, and thin pics, with the focus being on his right hand and having more room to work with..
Zakk Wylde makes a guest appearance, along with Mark Tremonti, Corky Laing, and Joe Satriani. The live footage of Leslie, and Zakk is awesome.

Without a doubt my favorite part of this DVD is the Leslie and Zakk Footage, absolutely priceless.
