Canadian rock musician and reality TV star Lukas Rossi hit the stage at 10.30 and opened with the song Take A Chance. After that he announced that even though he is feeling under the weather, he decided to go ahead with this show for the sake of the fans who paid for the tickets. The people in attendance seemed to appreciate that. They followed the opener with couple more good songs like Fly and Got You Where I Want You.
Then came the song Sedated, after which they played two songs Enya and Empty Cities with their violinist who did a great job I thought. They played a few more songs and ended the show with a Leonard Cohen cover Hallelujah and the closing song Science.
It wasn't the biggest crowd I've ever seen, which was surprising to me because the soft rock genre is commercially more popular than the classic rock and heavy metal bands. I think it wasn't a sell out because it was a Wednesday, more than any other reason. Nonetheless, it was good show by the hugely talented Lukas and I liked his effort level for the performance. The other members of his band did a fine job as well. I wish them a long and successful career.
Here's their complete setlist:
1. Take A Chance
2. Fly
3. Got You Where I Want You
4. Sedated
5. Enya (violin)
6. Empty Cities (violin)
7. Lay It On The Line
8. War
9. If You Get The Chance (Dreamer)
10. Hallelujah (violin)
11. Science (violin)
